We’re so excited to celebrate the release of the 2026 edition of 1978, SASS’s creative journal celebrating diverse sexualities and genders on campus. Written, edited, and curated entirely by women, nonbinary folks, and LGBTQIA+ members of the USYD community, it’s a collection of words, art, memory, and meaning.
Named after the first illegal Mardi Gras in 1978, this journal honours the histories that came before us, the voices of today, and the stories still to be written. Come along to celebrate the writers, artists, editors, and contributors who made it happen.
See you there!
